The Efficiency of the Allocation of Transport Means in Supply Chains

Abstract

The work presents the issue of selecting means of transport that perform specific logistic tasks in supply chains. The paper explains the concept of allocation in supply chains, effectiveness and discusses the indicators for assessing the effectiveness of the realized allocation. Technical, economic and quality indicators were distinguished among the assessment indicators. The problem of allocation in supply chains is a complex decision problem considered in the context of optimization tasks with multi-criteria evaluation functions. In addition, technical and technological conditions determining the effective allocation of resources in the supply chain were characterized, and the concept of transport efficiency with continuous and intermittent operation was defined. The paper also presents the algorithm for building a supply chain assessment model, defines its most important steps and presents the algorithm for selecting the effective allocation of technical means.
